Background

Steve Moore completed his MSEE in 1984 and began working with a joint appointment at the Biomedical Computer Laboratory and Department of Internal Medicine (Cardiology) at the Washington University School of Medicine. His work at that time was focused on measuring electrograms and cardiach rhythms and software tools for data visualization and imaging.

Mr. Moore joined the Electronic Radiology Laboratory in the Department of Radiology in 1987. The lab was studying image compression, network transmission and workstation development in support of early PACS research. He is best known for his work in supporting the DICOM standard (1992) and IHE Technical Frameworks (1999) as the developer of software tools and managing testing and demonstrations. Mr. Moore continues to manage and develop test tools for the IHE Technical Frameworks as well as create software for managing the data collection and management components of clinical trials.
